What a comeback….

Cardinals 31, Seahawks 20
After a horrid start and a slue of booing by the hometown crowd, the Cardinals managed to pull out a win to keep them atop the NFC West.  My ex-husband has Cardinals’ season tickets and said he’s received his postseason invoice for playoff tickets already…kind of premature, don’t ya think?!
Anyway, Warner, Fitz, [...]

Cardinals 28, Texans 21
Sorry folks, I know this is late but I’ve had tons of “real” work to do lately.
Anyway, I was at the game and have never seen so many Houston Texan fans in one place in my life. There were more at University of Phoenix Stadium than I think I’ve ever seen at [...]

Cardinals 10, Colts 31
What happened to the defending NFC Champs last night?  The Colts were without several defensive starters yet the Cardinals were unable to capitalize on anything and were, quite simply, atrocious.
I know Kurt Warner (30/52, 1 TD, 2 INTs) is nursing a sore shoulder but he has been all season and looked great last [...]

Much improved!

Cardinals 31, Jaguars 17
What a fabulous showing by the Cardinals in Jacksonville!  Kurt Warner was almost perfect, throwing 24/26 for 243 yds and 2 TDs - setting an NFL completion percentage record of 92.3% (previously held by Vinny Testaverde in 1993)- before being replaced by Matt Leinart in the 4th quarter who didn’t get much of anything [...]

Arizona 16, San Francisco 20
OK, I know that Steve Breaston, Kurt Warner, and Anquan Boldin were not 100% but, come on, this was the 49ers.  Apparently, Mike Singletary was able to whip that team into shape in the offseason.  San Fran looked scary good (or did the Cardinals’ defense just not look up to snuff?!)  Also, [...]

My Draft Day

Well, I have to say I’m certainly not disappointed with either of my fantasy teams this season (unlike last season where I went through as many RBs as did Denver.)
Of the Cardinals I was lucky enough to pick up:
Team 1:
Kurt Warner, Steve Breaston, Karlos Dansby, Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie
Team 2:
Anquan Boldin, Tim Hightower, Neil Rackers, Cardinals DST
Here’s [...]

Chargers @ Cardinals, preseason week 2

Chargers 17, Cardinals 6
Despite the score, which didn’t reflect the quality of the Cardinals’ defense, it was a fun game.  Anquan Boldin, the perpetually-underrated Leonard Pope, and Tim Hightower looked fabulous.  The 2nd string QB battle, to me, is still up the air.  Stat-wise, Brian St. Pierre and Matt Leinart were similar save for the INT by St. Pierre [...]

Training Camp Update

So, NO, I haven’t had the chance to make it to training camp YET, but plan on attending Sunday after the Cards return from their Thursday night Super Bowl rematch in Pittsburgh. (Maybe the refs will get this one right although it really doesn’t mean anything except pride and perhaps an additional testosterone surge - [...]

A gentler, quieter Boldin

After changing agents from the controversial Drew Rosenhaus to Tom Condon, not only is Anquan Boldin expected to be at training camp - on time, nonetheless - but is also expected to be less vocal about getting a contract extension than he was last season.  Boldin is signed through 2010 with the Cardinals and expected [...]

Boldin may stay

According to azcardinals.com, GM Rod Graves, the Cardinals have only thus far received one not very substantial trade offer for the star wideout. Although there may be movement during the draft which may involve Anquan Boldin, The Cardinals believe that a contract extension will probably be the ultimate outcome.  Now why couldn’t they have done that [...]
