Cardinals 10, Colts 31
What happened to the defending NFC Champs last night? The Colts were without several defensive starters yet the Cardinals were unable to capitalize on anything and were, quite simply, atrocious.
I know Kurt Warner (30/52, 1 TD, 2 INTs) is nursing a sore shoulder but he has been all season and looked great last [...]
Cardinals 31, Jaguars 17
What a fabulous showing by the Cardinals in Jacksonville! Kurt Warner was almost perfect, throwing 24/26 for 243 yds and 2 TDs - setting an NFL completion percentage record of 92.3% (previously held by Vinny Testaverde in 1993)- before being replaced by Matt Leinart in the 4th quarter who didn’t get much of anything [...]
Chargers 17, Cardinals 6
Despite the score, which didn’t reflect the quality of the Cardinals’ defense, it was a fun game. Anquan Boldin, the perpetually-underrated Leonard Pope, and Tim Hightower looked fabulous. The 2nd string QB battle, to me, is still up the air. Stat-wise, Brian St. Pierre and Matt Leinart were similar save for the INT by St. Pierre [...]
Cardinals 10, Steelers 20
According to my friend Phillip on Facebook (who is a sports writer for the Colts), preseason is like root canal. So true. This game was so similar to the Super Bowl in horrible officiating. I really hope that this isn’t an indication of how the rest of the season will be.
QB-wise for [...]
After acceptance of an offer by Kurt Warner which contained a “hometown discount”, Warner will remain in Arizona for 2 more years. The contract, valued at $23 million, includes a $15 million signing bonus (must be nice!) At any rate, the Cards originally offered him a 2 year-$20 million deal but reports stated he wanted [...]

Cardinals 7, Patriots 47
Good thing the Cardinals already won their division - at this rate they will be 8-8 and not looking too great for the playoffs.
I’m not going to rehash this ugly mess; however, wtg Larry Fitzgerald for another 100-yd game and another TD (courtesy of Matt Leinart, who also lost 2 fumbles and [...]
The last meeting of these two teams, last season, resulted in a narrow margin of victory for Washington as Neil Rackers missed a 55-yd FG attempt as time expired, giving the Skins a 21-19 win. Washington has won 8 of the last 9 meetings as well, and also leads the historic series 72-44-2.
But they haven’t [...]

Perhaps the biggest obstacle facing the Cardinals on Sunday (aside from Matt Leinart’s temper tantrums) is how to defend against 49ers starting QB J.T. O’Sullivan. Says NT Bryan Robinson, “It’s weird … but me personally? It scares me. You don’t know what the guy is capable of.”
The Cardinals lost twice to San Fran last season, and [...]
Ken Whisenhunt has named Kurt Warner the starting QB over Matt Leinart. Says Whisenhunt, “you want to win now and who’s going to give us that best chance to win now.”
Leinart, obviously, was upset, and Whisenhunt said he would have been disappointed otherwise.
Leinart, obviously, wasn’t available for comment on Saturday.
Apparently Leinart has a temper, which [...]
The Cardinals had another unspectacular preseason outing against an AFC West team, losing to the Denver Broncos 28-14 tonight; however, Arizona’s starters did well, with the Broncos scoring 18 unanswered points in the 4th quarter.
Kurt Warner did get the start and went 4 of 4 for 48 yds in his almost one full quarter of play. [...]
