That was a nice win…

Cardinals 27, Seahawks 3
Wow, after Matt Hasselbeck’s fabulous game last week, I was surprised that he and the Seahawks didn’t put up much of a fight against the Cardinals.  Not only was the offense on fire as usual but the defense stepped it up a notch or two as well.  Perhaps the biggest statistic was [...]

Cardinals 28, Texans 21
Sorry folks, I know this is late but I’ve had tons of “real” work to do lately.
Anyway, I was at the game and have never seen so many Houston Texan fans in one place in my life. There were more at University of Phoenix Stadium than I think I’ve ever seen at [...]

Much improved!

Cardinals 31, Jaguars 17
What a fabulous showing by the Cardinals in Jacksonville!  Kurt Warner was almost perfect, throwing 24/26 for 243 yds and 2 TDs - setting an NFL completion percentage record of 92.3% (previously held by Vinny Testaverde in 1993)- before being replaced by Matt Leinart in the 4th quarter who didn’t get much of anything [...]

Arizona 16, San Francisco 20
OK, I know that Steve Breaston, Kurt Warner, and Anquan Boldin were not 100% but, come on, this was the 49ers.  Apparently, Mike Singletary was able to whip that team into shape in the offseason.  San Fran looked scary good (or did the Cardinals’ defense just not look up to snuff?!)  Also, [...]

My Draft Day

Well, I have to say I’m certainly not disappointed with either of my fantasy teams this season (unlike last season where I went through as many RBs as did Denver.)
Of the Cardinals I was lucky enough to pick up:
Team 1:
Kurt Warner, Steve Breaston, Karlos Dansby, Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie
Team 2:
Anquan Boldin, Tim Hightower, Neil Rackers, Cardinals DST
Here’s [...]

I finally made it to training camp on Sunday.  For a team who played in Pittsburgh last Thursday, they weren’t “training” too terribly hard, but it was pretty hot for Flagstaff.  Sorry for the thumbnails but the full sized pictures were too big to upload.
Enjoy…

Cardinals 29, Giants 37
Yeah, 29…odd score….botched PAT.  However, Neil Rackers managed a very respectable 11 points and an interesting 67-yd attempt free kick (unusual…and failed.)
Dang, where to start.  Despite being home, Kurt Warner looked off.  he just didn’t have his usual pocket presence and uber-commanding zing on the ball (perhaps the Giants’ D breathing down [...]

Giants (9-1) @ Cardinals (7-3)
I’m going to forego the NFL Network-type analysis for a good-ole highly opinionated blog.  I don’t care if the Giants have only lost one game.  I don’t care that the Giants “shredded” the Ravens’ defense last week.  And I really don’t care about Eli Manning.  What I do care about is [...]

…here is where I would put the Week 7 Pre Game Report, but since the Cards are on a bye, I suppose I’ll have to fill the area with some “useful” information.
WR and punt blocking specialist Sean Morey earned NFL Special Teams Player of the Wweek honors for his OT heroics which gave the Cardinals a [...]

Arizona 24, Dallas 21 (OT)
What a game, whew!!!
A game that started and ended with big plays by the DST to give both teams 4-2 records.
J.J. Arrington’s 93-yd kick return for a TD started the game, and Monty Beisel’s 3-yd TD after Sean Morey’s blocked punt won it in overtime; which, by the way, was the [...]
